The Lindquist's Do D.C!... (D.C. Chronicles)

I've decided I'm going to cover this vacation in little snippets....between the loads of laundry, that is. We did SO MUCH! I can't wait to tell you all the fun we had! We came, we saw, we conquered!...I don't remember the latin for that...will have to ask the kids.

Somehow...we are always starving by the time we get through security...here is Timmy with the requisite pre-flight Chinese food! That's what makes it a vacation to him! Nothing like breaking a few $20's in the Food Court to loosen up the old purse strings and get the party going!!! (Read btw. the lines: I always have an initial fit about how much airport food costs...the kids expect it now... by the return flight home, I'm numb and just hand out the cash.)

**Note...We slogged through the whole airport WITH SEVEN SUITCASES PLUS SEVEN SMALL BAGS ALL CARRY-ON BECAUSE WE DIDN'T WANT TO PAY ANOTHER$210 TO CHECK OUR LUGGAGE...WHAT A DRAG...LITERALLY! AND A PAIN IN THE NECK!

All our seats were scattered...except Lily and I...she had a blast!

...Until she passed out on one of the suitcases at baggage claim, that is...it was about 10:30 p.m.

...and woke up at the Jefferson Memorial! Tired? NEVER! We had an exciting late night ramble to kick-off our whirlwind Washing D. C. extravaganza! Then off to the Homewood Suites for an early morning start the next day.

This picture's a little fuzzy, but that's ok because I was feeling a little fuzzy....long day! Good thing I had three young men to hold me up!!
